Greetings! I’m an early tech adopter with a Youtube addiction so I always get the itch to buy new tech products when they come out. Years ago, I remember coming up on a Youtube review of the Gladius Mini by YouTuber Dustin Dunnill. I already had a number of flying drones so the thought of an underwater drone was particularly interesting as we often cottage in the summer in the crystal clear waters of the Great Lakes in Ontario.
Took the leap and ordered direct from Chasing. A few things impressed me. The shipping was very fast and tax was included. Both perks!
Once arrived, the Gladius worked right out of the box and learning curve was straight forward if you already have flying drone experience.
Took the Gladius out to an island cottage and it was everything I expected. Great video quality, easy to fly, surprisingly good battery life. I even glued a GoPro to the bottom which didn’t throw off the balance. Here’s my Youtube video from that dive.
So as an early adopter from years ago, I’ve been pleased by Chasing’s continual software updates and product launches. The battery in both controller and drone have been fine even after years of use and storage in winter.
I’m most excited by Chasing’s trade-in / upgrade initiative. While it wasn’t available when I bought years ago, I think the claw is a game changer and must have for all new drones. So I’ve got my eyes on the Gladius Mini S or maybe even the M2. If and when I get an upgrade, I’ll surely shoot more videos of my adventures.
