pacman Remote controls are basically maintained in the same way as cell phones, they both use lithium batteries. The remote control charging status you can see on the charger, if the indicator light is green, it means your remote control is fully charged.

Hi James, now that I know how to estimate the SOC of remote battery, I am sure I have an issue with it. I made a charge discharge cycle and after that the remote is not taking anymore the charge and it won’t even switch on. I don’t know if it is a dead battery or the battery BMS that failed. Phenomenon 1: There is no boot sound when the remote control is connected to the ROV, and the ROV indicator of the remote control flashes Troubleshooting: First of all, you need to detect whether the battery has output, and if there is a multimeter, you can directly measure the battery voltage (DC voltage 18-25.2V) If there is no multimeter, you can try to charge the battery to see if the charger charging indicator has a red light, and if the red light is normal, the battery is normal; After eliminating the battery problem, confirm whether the buoyancy cable is normally turned on (refer to the buoyancy cable test guidance document for the test method) After arranging the buoyancy cable, confirm whether the buoyancy cable socket has electrolytic oxidation, and replace it if there is oxidation: if the above is ruled out, if it cannot be turned on normally, the ESC board needs to be replaced. Hi dear Jack,
the remote control is not switching on at all, so I guess the remote battery is dead.
The strange thing is that the day before I used it and all was working fineand the rov was working as usual.
For some reason, once I disconnected the rov cable I should have left the remote switched on and it drained completely the battery. Since then it has been impossible to recharge it. If I connect the charger to the remote only, the charger light stays green and does not turn red.

Hi Jack, the bare batteries pack seems to be still good, it is the bms board attached to the pack that is dead.
At the board input I can read 11.98 V but on the output is 0 V.

I wrote to the support email address almost a week ago but still got no reply.
I checked the battery pack and the bms, all is working fine using an external LiIon charger.
When I try to charge the remote with the Chasing charger, it won’t charge.
I know the charger is fine too because it charge correctly the M2.
